Ben Power (BLANCK MASS) came to the world's attention via the music of his band Fuck Buttons. The duo have released two critically acclaimed albums, performed at the Nick Cave curated All Tomorrow's Parties event in Australia in 2009, and supported 90s legends Pixies for their entire 2010 Doolittle Tour. Largely influenced by the likes of musical composer Ennio Morricone and astrophysicist Carl Sagan, 'Blanck Mass' is a collection of tracks loosely themed around cerebral hypoxia (a medical condition involving a lack of oxygen to the brain) and the beautiful complexity of the natural world - both universally and personally. All ten songs were written, recorded and self-produced in Power's London apartment between the summer and winter of 2010.
