Mike Garner has lived in New Zealand from 1987, and is heavily involved in the New Zealand blues scene. He has released 5 albums of excellent Blues plus has featured on many compilations and has played live throughout New Zealand, Australia, England, Italy, Germany, New Caledonia Noumea, Rarotonga and Kathmandu, Nepal (Kiwi filmmaker Costa Botes, traveled to the Himalayan Blues Festival with the Mike Garner Band in 2009 to film the Kathmandu Blues DVD).
