Equipped with HD audio decoding, iPod/iPhone connectivity, USB/HDMI inputs and 5.1 channels x 110W of power, the VSX-819H is the nucleus of movie and music entertainment in the home.

As a home theatre centre piece, the VSX-819H will directly connect and drive the surround sound from your Blu-ray/DVD player, as well as music from your iPod/iPhone. However the connectivity does not stop there, with the VSX-819 also handling audio from your TV, pay TV box, gaming console and PVR.

Expanding your musical entertainment throughout the home, the VSX-819H features a multi-room audio pre-out, which enables you to connect the VSX-819H receiver to another audio product within the home (eg: HiFi stereo system/ lifesyle system/speakers on another TV) and then power the audio from a CD player/iPod/iPhone connected to the VSX-819H into another room simultaneously.

When connected to a 2 channel or 5.1 channel speaker set-up, the VSX-819H transforms into your new iPhone/iPod docking station. The VSX-819H is designed as the most dynamic solution to connect and improve playback performance for your iPod or iPhone. With a multi-format front panel USB port that can handle an array of MP3 music files, you can seamlessly navigate and choose your playlists, without needing a docking station.

The direct digital signal transfer from the iPod to the receiver guarantees the purest sound possible.

The VSX-819H ensures all pictures and sounds on your Blu-ray and DVD movie library collection are reproduced pure and precise. The internal decoding of advanced audio formats - DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD allow you to enjoy a full HD viewing experience with sounds and images that draw near perfection.

The VSX-819H also handles popular surround sound technologies, such as Dolby Digital, DTS 96/24, Pro Logic II Decoders, Multi PCM playback via HDMI, as well as Advance Surround and Advance Game modes.

Full video format capabilities such as Deep Colour and x.v.Colour deliver vibrant, lifelike colours with smooth gradation transitions, whereas a Lip Sync function ensures synchronised audio and video playback, matching lip movements with voices.

We have integrated our Advanced Sound Retriever and Auto Level Control audio improvement technologies across all four new models to enhance the sound quality of compressed media. The VSX-819H features updated versions to deliver an even fuller and more natural surround sound. The Advanced Sound Retriever greatly improves sound reproduction of iPhone, iPod and other portable media players by restoring the critical audio data that is often removed from a compressed audio file.

Volume levels can fluctuate across digital audio tracks (i.e. MP3 and iPod), input sources and even television channels and commercials, causing disruptive entertainment. Our Auto Level Control equalises the volume of all sources and formats for consistent listening from all entertainment. Home Integration Dedicated to providing a customised audio entertainment experience, our new AV receivers offer a wealth of home integration features.

Our exclusive Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration (MCACC) gives users a finely tuned sound performance for their movies and music. This feature takes inventory of a room's speakers then digitally optimises each one to balance out any room-induced acoustic inaccuracies.
