Capture beautiful images with a wide-angle lens, intelligent zoom and resolution
The DMC-TZ20 features a 24mm ultra wide-angle, 16x optical zoom LEICA DC lens(35mm camera equivalent: 24-384mm). Nano Surface Coating technology on the lens dramatically reduces ghost and flare. The 16x optical zoom is also available in movie recording. The  wide-angle lens captures approximately 213% larger viewing space compared to a normal 35mm lens. The 14.1-megapixel MOS sensor enables you to shoot at 10 fps in full resolution. A Venus Engine FHD, featuring Intelligent Resolution technology and 21x Intelligent Zoom, is also incorporated.

Create stunning high-definition movies at the touch of a button
The DMC-TZ20 can record full HD 1920x1080 (50i) movies in AVCHD format with Dolby® Digital Stereo Creator. A dedicated button lets you instantly start recording movies without having to make any changes in the menu screens. The iA Mode is available in movie recording. The POWER O.I.S. with Active Mode comes in handy when shooting while walking or playing with children.

Map your travel memories
The DMC-TZ20 features built-in GPS. The location data where the photo was taken is embedded with its latitude and longitude coordinates to the EXIF data. These geo-tagged images can be pinpointed on the maps of social media internet maps. The DMC-TZ20 also shows the name of the county, state, city, and landmarks using the internal data to give you real-time information of the place when taking photos. Images with the location names are automatically sorted in the virtual folder alphabetically in the camera allowing quick access. Never let your holiday photos get mixed up again.

High resolution LCD helps you focus on the fine details
The DMC-TZ20 features a 3.0-inch touch-screen LCD with 460,000-dot resolution. While shooting, Auto Focus is immediately set to the subject by just touching it on the LCD (you can even release the shutter). In addition, the Touch Zoom function gives you quick and easy control. While playing back, you can quickly select an image to view by scrolling images. The DMC-TZ20 also features Intelligent LCD with a wide-viewing angle, which automatically adjusts the screen brightness in 11 steps as the surrounding brightness level changes.

Immerse yourself in 3D imaging
The 3D Photo Mode produces a 3D image in the camera. Take 20 panning shots and the camera automatically selects two most suitable images to synthesize a 3D composite. The 3D image can be viewed in 3D via the  Image Viewer on a Panasonic 3D VIERA TV.
